Who Are Blandford Young Farmers?


For those of you who have never heard of young farmers, we are a group of young people; male and female aged between 10-26 years old who are interested in the rural community and countryside. Although we have members with connections in the farming life we also have members that have no connection with farming at all, but are keen to take part in our club events. The club always has a number of running events but no event or meeting is ever compulsory so you can do as much or as little as you like, its really up to you how much you get out of young farmers.
Young farmers will increase your social life, allowing you to meet new people of a similar age group, who have the same interests. Blandford YFC is run by members for members, Blandford is situated in Dorset; Dorset young farmers have been around now for 60 years and new members are always welcome!

What Happens At Blandford Young Farmers?
We meet up on Wednesday evenings and take part in a range of different activities including:

  •   Raft Racing
  • Balls and Discos
  •   Quad Biking
  • BBQs
  • Farm Walks
  • Brewery Visits
  • Talks
  • Clay Shooting
  • Sporting Events

The list of activities in which Blandford YFC take part in are endless depending on the time of year only a few are listed above.We also do traditional young farmer activities such as ploughing matches, hedge laying and rallys. As well as a lot of fund raising  for a range of different charities nationally and locally.

You dont have to be a farmer to be a young farmer!
